Rushing Wind...

Here is an old song that is singing in my heart today...

"Rushing wind blows through this temple,
Blowing out the dust within.
Come and breathe Your breath upon me,
For I've been born again!

Jesus! You're the One!
Who set my spirit free!
Use me, Lord, glorify,
Your holiness in me!"

I don't know if Keith Green wrote it, let me check....yes. Written by Keith and Melody Green.

I have been thinking a lot on the simple thought of a scripture that Steve taught the boys when they were very little, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). I have had that scripture memorized for a long time but you know how sometimes a verse just lingers in your mind day after day and throughout the months and connects with other scriptures...well, that is what this one has been doing.

Truth has been alive to me lately. It is truth that sets us free. The Word of God is truth and it is the truth as Hebrews 4:12 says "For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of the soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Wow!

The truth that sets us free makes us rejoice in things like Romans 12:9-21-

"Let love be genuine.

Abhor what is evil.

Hold fast to what is good.

Love one another with brotherly affection.

Outdo one another in showing honor.

Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.

Rejoice in hope... be patient in tribulation.... be constant in prayer.

Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

Bless those who curse you, bless and do not curse them.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.

Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be conceited.

Repay no one evil for evil but give thought to what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceable with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord". To the contrary, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by doing so you will be heaping burning coals on his head.

Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good."

May truth set my heart free, may LOVE abound, may God be glorified, as i seek to be satisfied in Jesus.

"God is most glorified when we are satisfied in Him"-and He truly satisfies, "You make known to me the path of life; In your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forever more." Psalm 16:11

I wish i knew how to do cool fonts and design because i would have had fun with this post. I have the Romans scripture written out right behind where i am sitting and i had sooo much fun writing it out and getting creative as the words came alive!

I feel like i could write all day!
